Job Description

Our client, a major European Investment bank in Midtown, Manhattan, is looking for a BA to support extension of their PROPEL platform. This is the platform that is used for performing CCAR projections and stress testing. It's being extended to be used at the global projections platform. 

  • Work closely with Projections Model Developers, Risk ID, Scenario Design, and Expansion workstream teams (Business Owners, Change and IT teams etc.) to analyze and understand given business requirements/problem statement
  • Create Business Requirements document including problem statement, impact analysis and proposed solution etc.
  • Prepare UAT material including test strategy, test cases etc.
  • Support UAT testing and clarify queries from business users to validate successful implementation of the business requirements
  • Manage UAT tasks with testers ensuring timely delivery
  • Ensure proper sign off of Business Requirements and UAT documentation.
  • Provide project management support in preparing status reports, managing budgets, tracking tasks and associated timelines across IT Model Implementation and Risk ID, Scenario Design, and Expansion workstream
Job Requirements
  • While other jurisdictions don't specifically have CCAR, they have comparable regulatory stress testing requirements. 
  • BA will be responsible for gathering requirements related to extending the platform for global use.  Requirements deal with data extraction and formatting, UI and Screens, and reports. BA needs to be able to document business requirements and turn them into IT requirements.  Additionally responsible for participating in the planning and delivery of UAT. 
  • There are also regular updates made to projection models which need to be onboarded onto the platform on a regular basis.
  • Candidate should have capital markets experience within Risk and Finance. CCAR experience would be a plus but not a hard requirement. 
  • While they don't need a quantitative background, ideally they want someone who would be able to learn how the models and projections work.  
  • Ability to engage multiple teams across different functional areas front-to-back, understand different view-points and drive analysis to clear business requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in client/stakeholder relationship management
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, specifically the ability to investigate issues with keen attention to detail
  • Experienced in understanding and preparing business process docs, Front-to-Back data flows etc.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Computer software proficiency, including: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio

  • Bachelors degree in computer information systems, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required
  • 5-10 years of relevant business analysis work experience required
  • Business Analysis experience with a leading consulting firm within financial services preferred butnot mandatory
