Our client is a large investment bank with offices in NYC.

This Project Manager/Business Analyst role will be supporting the change function for the risk & compliance department. There are eight significant programs of work but the main two which need attention at this point are QFC/IBOR. This role manages the workstreams of and reports directly to the Programme Director for Risk & Compliance. This role requires the ability to report to senior stakeholders and at the same time, manage a remote team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using your project management expertise and knowledge to either facilitate (lead) and/or contribute on QFC/IBOR projects and other workstreams as required
  • Aspects of this role require the ability to analyze and assess the data and supporting materials/documents required to determine correct execution or remediation plan for a given project – help breakdown and understand the issue(s) raised to be resolved/remediated. Not all projects will be the same, however, there is both a business and technology component to the majority of projects.
  • Establish an appropriate governance structure (roles/responsibilities, project plan (the deliverables) approvals required, etc.) for a given project and track/measure progress
  • Facilitate (when necessary) the appropriate escalations to resolve delivery/execution roadblocks
  • Manage/support project-related documentation tracking (use of Share Pt or other internal document retention application); project charters, plans, delivery supporting materials (requirements documents, test results, approvals, etc.)
  • Manage senior stakeholder communication and relationships
  • Manage, develop and grow onshore/offshore team

Job Requirements

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Risk & Compliance background ideal
  • Experienced use of MS software including Excel, PowerPoint, word. Working knowledge of MS project is a plus
  • Experience on firmwide change programs at financial services firms
  • Strong stakeholder management skills

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • PMP certification or other project management related certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of LIBOR transition
  • Knowledge of QFC Recordkeeping Rules
  • Experience on regulatory driven change programs
  • Experience interacting with regulators
  • Full understanding of project documentation for highly scrutinized programs
