Job Description

Our client, a large international bank is looking for a Key Risk Metrics Analyst in their Technology Management Area. You should:

  • Understand the responsibilities of the various IT functions (application development, infrastructure and information security) within the bank, and identify the risk and controls relevant for each area.
  • Liaise with the IT process and platform owners to determine the population of key risk metrics based on the CUSO risk taxonomy.
  • Determine and document thresholds, triggers, and cadence for the set of KRIs and KPIs using the Metrics Intake sheet.
  • Locate and fold in data sources from source applications, systems and platforms that contribute or feed data into the triggers.
  • Configure and produce KRMs that are quantifiable, actionable and can be accurately/precisely substantiated.
  • Use analytical techniques and tools to mitigate risk and add value to business decisions.
  • Develop and enhance reporting/ notification methods of these key risk metrics to Senior Management and the Information Risk Management Working Group.
  • Coordinate with the various Lines of Defense to feed the key risk metrics to the Metrics Factory.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Management of Information Services degree from accredited college or university [or equivalent work experience]
  • 10+ years professional work experience as an IT Risk / IT Management Reporting
  • Technical knowledge of Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, and Networks
  • Awareness of multiple best practice approaches to risk assessments for enterprise-level risks 
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk taxonomy, scoring, key risk and performance indicators, and other areas of Information and Operation Risk Management. 
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, team player, and ability to clearly document risk and controls.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, handle multiple assignments and adhere to strict guidelines.
  • Strong analytical acumen and logical thought process required.
  • Communicates clearly and succinctly whether in oral or written form; effectively communicates in a variety of settings - formal and informal; attentive and active listener; straightforward and composed.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Access
  • Experience with customizing SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, OpenPages and Archer are a plus
  • Industry certification in one of the following: CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP or equivalent
